Powhatan Day of Mission
The first Powhatan Day of Mission
Our First Day of Mission
Thanks to all who participated in our first ever Episcopal Churches in Powhatan Day of Mission last Saturday. We had 45 pairs of helping hands. Beginning with breakfast at St. Luke's and ending with lunch at Manakin, and working in between the meals on our projects. Our projects consisted of pulling pepper plants at Shalom Farms, packing over 900 backpacks for Backpacks of Love, assembled 30 welcome gift bags for the Free Clinic, made blankets for cages and dog pull toys (well tested by Les) for the Animal Shelter, and shopped for the Christmas Mother program. The response was enthusiastic and we are already planning our next gathering. This truly was a day of fun, fellowship, and mission for young and old alike.
