Thanksgiving Food Bags
Our Thanksgiving Food Bag collection benefiting the Powhatan Food Pantry began Sunday, September 13. Please bring your filled bag to the tables in the back of the Parish Hall. Bags will be collected through Sunday, October 11. Our goal is 60 bags—let’s see if we can meet or exceed it! Prefer not to shop? Volunteers from St. Luke’s will do the shopping for you. A $50 donation will cover the food items and gift card. Please make checks payable to St. Luke’s and write “Thanksgiving Food Bag” in the memo line. Food Lion and Walmart gift cards may be purchased as well.

Forest Church Returns with a Celebration of Fall! ~
Forest Church returns with a Celebration of Fall; Fall is in the Air. Please bring a lawn chair. We will reflect on what this season might provide to us as we worship surrounded by God’s natural world to assist in our awareness of God’s love. Please meet at the back of the Parish Hall at 3:00 PM on September 27.
The Blessing of the Animals
On Sunday, 4 October, please invite your friends, family, and neighbors to bring their pets to join in The Blessing of Animals. It will take place as part of the 8:00 and 10:30 celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Weather permitting, we will gather and worship outside at the downstairs entrance to the Parish House. If needed, we will move into the Parish Hall.
